Welcome to Carr Edge to our skilfully converted late 18thC Stable & Granary Annex which is attached to the farmhouse. For the past 15 years we have run a well established Bed and Breakfast, welcoming guests from around the world and guest from this country who have been coming since we first opened our doors in 2006. Having gained 4 star Silver Awards in Visit England we were one of the first recipients of the Rose Award for Excellence.
We have now turned our Annex into two self catering units. Our is aim is to provide you with a comfortable, relaxing and friendly stay.

Carr Edge is a working Beef & Sheep farm nestling in 700 acres of pastures and woodlands. Situated in the historic area of the Hadrian’s Wall corridor and 1 ½ miles out of the village of Newbrough Carr Edge is set in an idyllic location. This traditional farmhouse is overlooking the South Tyne Valley, commanding spectacular views of the North Pennines and surrounding National Park areas. We are situated on a public footpath which leads to Hadrian’s Wall and the Baden Powell Scout Cairn. It provides an ideal base for walkers and cyclists to explore.
The village of Newbrough nestles in the Tyne Valley. Close by the North Tyne and South Tyne meet and you will find many interesting aspects of wildlife in the area.
Situated 1 mile south of Hadrian’s Wall, we are offering a perfect location to relax after a days sightseeing, walking or cycling.
